  8. Effective Communication for Tourism and Hospitality
     

Teacher-to-Student Ratio: 1:30
 

Intakes: January | April | July | September

🎓 Why Take This Diploma?
This programme provides a comprehensive and in-depth understanding of the tourism and hospitality industry, preparing students for supervisory or management roles. The Industrial Attachment (IA) offers invaluable hands-on experience, allowing students to apply classroom learning in actual hospitality and tourism operations.

 

📝 Admission Requirements:

  • Age: Minimum 17 years old at course commencement

  • Academic: Completed at least Year 10 or 2 GCE ‘O’ Level passes or equivalent

  • English Proficiency: IELTS 5.5 / TOEFL iBT 70 or equivalent recommended
     

Industrial Attachment Eligibility:

  • Must be 18 years old before IA starts

  • Passed all 8 coursework modules

  • Maintained a 90% course attendance rate

  • Pass interview/selection process

Note: Students who do not meet IA requirements will complete a 12-week Research Project instead.

Student’s Pass Holder:

  • Course Fee: S$ 4,388.00

  • H&S Fee: S$ 200.00

  • Administrative Fee: S$ 300.00

  • Assessment Fee: S$ 450.00

  • Course Materials Fee: S$ 350.00

  • FPS: S$ 71.10

  • Application Fee: S$ 600.00

  • GST: S$ 508.73
    Total: S$ 6,867.83

     

Non-Student’s Pass Holder:
Total: S$ 5,203.47

  • Attendance Requirement: 90% minimum for Student’s Pass holders (75% for Certificate of Attendance eligibility)

  • Mode of Delivery: Lectures, interactive tutorials, group projects, practical sessions, and industry-based activities

    • Female: White blouse & black skirt
